The Great Twelve Sailing Challenge was founded in 2004 by the Ironmongers Company. While the event raises money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, its main purpose is make friends and get to know the other Livery Companies. The result is that those who come to sail never have any fear about attending Company events in their halls again.
